Position Announcement:
The InnoRenew CoE is seeking a well-qualified individual to work on optimization of multivariate stochastic heterogeneous systems.
Tasks:
The emphasis of this position is on the development of procedures and code for optimization of hybrid, modular buildings using various criteria such as modularity, mass, energy efficiency, construction speed and costs, and sustainability. The project will focus on development of a decision tool that will allow consideration of multiple criteria and uncertainties of various input parameters and data.
Required expertise and skills:
The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in computer science or civil engineering with good mathematical skills and a programming background (Matlab or similar) and the ability to learn and work independently in a team environment. Experience in Matlab programming is a must. Further requirements include: good communication skills, ability interact with the industry and other researchers, ability to formulate and communicate new research ideas (research proposal preparation), ability to work independently.

This position will be within the newly established InnoRenew CoE which is focused on renewable materials use in sustainable built environments. The InnoRenew CoE was established based on a flagship project funded by the European Commission and the Republic of Slovenia.

The tasks will be performed in close cooperation with Fraunhofer WKI, Germany and the Fraunhofer Center for light, environmentally friendly structures.
